Who we are
I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely welcomed. My goal is for each learner to leave tutoring knowing they accomplished something meaningful and made real progress. I respond to students with patience and encouragement, accepting their answers as part of the learning process and meeting them not only by learning style, but by personality. I especially enjoy working with reluctant learners and finding creative, effective ways to help them succeed. Above all, I care about the whole student—their emotional well-being as much as their academic growth.
I have taught elementary school grades PK-6, special education grades PK-12, and ESL grades K-adults. I also have supervised student teachers at Grace College and have taught Introductory to Special Education as well Collaboration and Inclusion classes.
My husband and I have been missionaries since 2000, working both in the US and internationally in Peru and the Dominican Republic. Currently while in the Dominican Republic, I do both consulting for student programming and teacher training.

I am Connie’s daughter and a homeschool mom of four with a love for creating thoughtful, engaging educational resources. I support our work behind the scenes through administration and organization, and I have firsthand experience with both the Indiana Braintree Program and the Indiana ESA Program.
